Private reef day charter Cairns
Hi all, we are a group of 16 travelling to Cairns in October. We land at 9am and are keen to get an afternoon reef trip in that day if possible, departing around midday.

Five Indigenous Australian university students are embarking on a ground-breaking internship with NASAs in the US, The students have been selected as the inaugural cohort of Monash Universitys National Indigenous Space Academy (NISA), in support by the Australian Space Agency.

Today, August 15, marks one of the darkest days in Afghanistans history: the collapse of Kabul. Two years ago, immediately following the United States troop withdrawal, the Taliban overtook the government and the 20-year western mission in Afghanistan took only a single day to collapse.

An app to bridge the gap between Indigenous people and a largely non-Indigenous health regime has been launched one designed to overcome the sense of disempowerment within the system.
Its designed to help non-Indigenous workers come to grips with the cultural norms of health within Aboriginal communities.
NRNs Frank Bonaccorso spoke with co-creator, Professor Mitchell Byrne, from Charles Darwin University about the app, called Gundiir and how it is as much about Closing The Gap as it is about better Indigenous health outcomes.

Hundreds of thousands call on FIFA to recognise Afghanistans national womens soccer team 4YOU 98.5FM Capricorn Community Radio
The Afghans Womens National Soccer team have received over 100 000 signatures on their petition to gain recognition in the FIFA Womens World Cup.
The team were forced to flee Afghanistan in August 2021 when the Taliban took over the government. Since coming to Australia they have been managing the challenges of settling in a new country, financially supporting themselves and their families who also fled during the humanitarian crisis and reside in other countries, studying as well as keeping their soccer goals and aspirations alive.
The team says they dream of representing our country at the Womens World Cup. But, FIFA has repeatedly ignored their pleas to formally recognise [their] right to play.
The Womens World Cup now enters its final week this week.
The Wires Aryana Mohmood spoke with Captain and Goalkeeper for the Afghanistan National Womens Soccer Team, Fatima Yousufi as well as defendants Mursal Sadat and Adiba Ganji, about the petition, the challenges they faced in both Afghanistan and now Australia to play soccer and their undying love for the sport.

New research released today shows many victim/survivors have negative experiences of the criminal justice system after reporting sexual violence.
The study by KPMG and RMITs Centre for Innovative Justice is based on 34 in-depth interviews with adult sexual offence complainants who reported the incident to police. The study focuses on the region of New South Wales.
The study also identified barriers faced by some groups to participating in the criminal justice process, including the LGBTIQA+ community, migrant communities, and First Nations people.
